How can I help?

I was so touched by the HOPE FOR HAITI NOW. Did you watch it?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints put out an official statement from the First Presidency that so beautifully stated the ways in which we can help, including donation and prayer. It stated the following, “People are frightened, bewildered, and wholly uncertain about their future. In addition to what people can do in helping with food, water and shelter, there needs to be a calming influence over that troubled nation. We invite people everywhere to supplicate God for a spirit of calm and peace among the people.”

If you are looking for somewhere to donate, I would suggest going HERE. You can be rest assured that every penny of your donation will go to the cause.

Pray for Haiti. Donate what you can. A worthy cause.

Hair

Veva seems to have taken after her mom in the hair department. I was still struggling for hair at a year old. However, it came in thick and lush once it decided to make it's debut. Her hair is starting to thicken. Just enough to play with. Also check out those precious teeth. She hasn't popped any out since 3 1/2 months. Still sporting 2 on the bottom.

In just a few days my baby will be 6 months old!

I took these before Christmas, but today I saw them on my desk top and they melted my heart. So, I decided to post one.
I love this family. They were our first good "married friends." We have known them for about 3 1/2 years. I remember when that beautiful blonde was in her moma's belly, and now number 2!! We have always seemed to follow each other, randomly. Now they only live 35 min. away!

Enjoy.

We love bikes.

For Christmas I surprised D with bikes for each of us and a trailer for Vev! We have been aching to use them. The perfect opportunity came last weekend. We had two children, 5 months apart, for a few days and desperately needed to get out of the house. So we took Vev and her best friend Joshua on a bike ride.

And...the star of the blog.

The beginning.

Lately I can not believe how big my baby is. She is hardly a baby! Not that I am wishing her to grow up fast, but I cannot help but think about the potential she has. She is just beginning her life. She has every opportunity ahead of her to learn and grow. She has a lifetime of memories to make. She has joy to experience. This life has truly brought me happiness and I hope she can make the most of hers. I hope this is the beginning of a life filled with hope and happiness. I hope she can find joy in her journey.
