Busy but exciting weekend!

Vev's and I went to Salt Lake Friday morning with my parents to Katelyn's wedding. President Uchtdorf married Kate and Ian. D was in Pocatello taking the second section of the CPA exam and met us in Provo Friday night. Saturday day we went shopping and attended the BYU football game with the Redders and Taylors. We sure missed my parents, they had to be home Saturday for interviews for a new stake presidency. Elder Oaks was in town to change the presidency. Sunday my dad was called into the Stake Presidency. Monday Veva turned 4 months!!

On a walk

D's parents are in town.
The weather is incredible.
We have a great walking path close to our house.
We took advantage of all three and had a great time.

Introducing...

my over-achieving little biggest brother...Mr. BHS 2009.

Okay really, soccer team captain, tennis team captain, seminary president, Mr. BHS? Really? When will he stop being so wonderful?!
Talent. Enough said. This kid can fiddle! He played Orange Blossom and the crowd went crazy! He started off with an awful version of "Mary had a little lamb" and had his friends boo. Then he said, "Okay, okay, let me try something else." The crowd was awfully impressed.

Remember they always model a sportswear with a special olympian. This is Julie. She attended the national special olympics representing Idaho. They did synchronized swimming. And really were quite synchronized.

Waiting to answer his impromptu question

His question: "If you had to describe Burley High school to someone in one sentence what would you say?" Brent answers. Mr. Silva's response, "That was a run-on sentence."

Auctioned off to the highest bidder.

And now for the big news!
Receiving his awards. He won talent then the title of Mr. BHS.

Mr. Silva and his second favorite student. Number #1? Me. He wont admit it, but come on, he gave me a belt buckle he got on his honeymoon from a drunk man. AND, he came to my wedding reception.

While I took this picture Silva was making some stupid joke about the height difference. He would.

Tooth Fairy.

My baby has a tooth! Yes, she is barely 3 months old. When she took my finger right to her mouth today I felt something sharp. WHAT?! a tooth. I had no idea. A few weeks ago my mom was convinced she was teething because she was drooling. However, she wasn't fussy, no red gums, and she is so young - so I didn't think anything of it. Veva talks about it all day long, but rarely cries about it. Now I feel bad that she has not had chew toys, or any pain relief. She does eat her fingers though. This girl's happiness amazes me. Even with all she has gone through she has been such a happy baby. Now teething. I had no clue.

Do you think she would let me get a picture of the little tooth? No way.

Looking for us?

You wont find us at home.
Not in this beautiful weather!
November
62 degrees (that is nice for us!)
no wind (miracle)
and the sun is shinning.
We have been loving this fall weather.

Veva, your daddy made such a beautiful baby! Surely you picked up one of my genes, right?
I guess time will tell.

H-A-Double L-O-W-Double E-N

Yes, the song. Every year.

Well, the night before Halloween we went to the haunted mansion at...Albion College. Some of you know about Albion College. It was so so so scary! I was literally sweating and screaming. One time I turned around to ask D if he was scared. He responded..."ya." Mike led the pack, Hill and I in the middle and D on the end. One long train. The whole time.

When we got there we parked the car right under this tree - spooky sight!

As we headed into one of the 3 buildings the scary lady said, "Good luck, Hillary." That was a little disturbing!

Halloween night.

Veva made the cutest Tinker Bell you have ever seen! I've had her costume ready for about a month and a half now, me on the other hand - my mom and I were finishing my dress the night before. Oh the dress, "Project Runway" anyone? My mom is one of them. She graduated in clothing and textile design. No pattern, just draped and pinned. The dress turned out wonderful!
