Our Sweet Baby

Named after her Great-Grandma and Mama. Daddy's nose, Mommy's eyes - and the longest toes you have ever seen! (That would be from Aunt Jaclyn's Genes)

The Mom reporting...

T here. wow, these last couple days have proved to be nothing one can prepare for. I've only been a mom for a couple days, but I certainly had no idea how life would change. We love our sweet baby and are so grateful that she is healthy. I promise pictures on the next post!! Thank goodness for D and my mom's play by play - things moved so fast I would have never remembered. I am so thrilled with how things progressed and so happy she moved her hand off of her head just in time in order to avoid an emergency C-section. The doc (whom we love dearly) said she is 1 in a 1000- the whole hand coming out first. The nurse said she had never felt a hand when checking a cervix before. Thanks to a blessing, lots of prayers, and the doctor pinching her fingers, she moved it and was able to come out!

Also, I am proud to say that I experienced a natural birth...not by choice, but nonetheless natural. Wow, most intense, difficult thing I have ever done in my life. The epidural was due for a refill right when things picked up quick and I felt the urge to push. The whole time I was laboring I was admiring the fact that I could feel my legs - yet not the contractions. I was worried I would be completely numb. Well, after going through the natural birth, I would not have minded the dead legs - but it was an incredible thing to experience.

Due to have this baby!

40 weeks. Dropped. Still smiling. Still enjoying pregnancy. Anxious for the baby to come. Jobless. Nesting. Nervous. Happy. Scared. Excited. Honestly?...all of the above.

When I left my 8-5 job life yesterday for probably the last time in my life, reality set in and I bawled. So many emotions. What an incredible journey we are about to begin!

Oh...and I can balance a cup on my belly :)

10 days left...

But who's counting?!

We decided we'd better take some pictures since the last time we took one was 30 weeks. Well, I didn't realize the camera was on manual...until after all the pics were taken. High ISO, low shutter speed, bright sunlight...over exposed photos!

2M residents

Since we are officially 2M residents (although, I refuse to let the 4C go) we went to the 2M firework show.

The In-laws.

D's Mum & Dad just left the states. While they were here we kept them pretty busy. Saddest part of the whole thing was no camera at the Magic Valley Speedway. Yes, we went to the speedway, and yes, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves along with all the rednecks. We wanted to give D's parents a true cultural experience.

We have had an abundance of water in this area the last month (D says its like living in Scotland - everyday of the year) and Shoshone falls was absolutely beautiful! I have never seen it so majestic!
