Fulfilled.

Is there something you love to do, that makes you feel fulfilled? I have lots of loves, but this one hit the spot for me this weekend. Aside from work I managed to find sometime to hide out in my designated 1/2 craft room (the other half is office and books!) It felt like I took a break from a busy life. No brain power, just creativity. I was busy making invites for a friend's baby shower, which I will post at a later date so I don't give anyone a sneak peak before they get sent out. Then I took some time to make my Valentines to send out.

I love Valentines. If you have never made or sent them, you should try! What a fun holiday.

P.s. did I mention how much I LOVE having a "craft area." I'm sure D loves it as well; no more huge mess in the front room while I craft to my hearts content.

Oh, and I listened to THIS all the while, which made everything that much better.

Dani & Tyson

She really is one of the most amazing people I have met. Dani & I went to Nauvoo together and ended up sleeping together on a twin for a month after she moved into our bedroom - making things much more cozy and fun! (5 girls in one room!) I absolutely love her and would consider her one of the most genuine and loyal friends i have. We were supposed to meet up for Celine Dion in November, until it was tragically canceled, so it was fun to hang out for the day while I took their engagements. I am so happy for them, and cannot wait for the big day!

Happy Birthday D!

I found this in my archives and thought it was an appropriate happy birthday picture!

I wish I had something really cool to post about a birthday bash, but I really blew it this year! Thankfully my mom made him a cake for the family party on Sunday. I vow to do better next year, and maybe will redeem myself next week, and have a late something. I don't work on Monday, that'll give me some time to plan.

I don't like to get mushy-gushy on my blog, or brag about how amazing my husband is...but he is. This is the one day of the year I give myself the right to do so!

Happy Birthday D!

I love him because...

* He loves to learn
* He is such a hard worker
* He never complains - sometimes its annoying, but so good of him!
* He loves the gospel, and loves to study and learn more about it
* He wants me to fulfill my dreams
* He is completely likable
* As of two days ago, I am still teaching him "american things/words," and it reminds me that he stayed over 4500 miles from home to be with me, even though he had his mind set on returning home -- who knows...maybe some day we will
* When he puts his mind to something he does it
* He gets giddy over the fact that he shares the same birthday as "Shep" - Shepard Smith
* He finished his Bachelors in 2 1/2 years, and went straight into his masters, and has never complained about school
* He does well at whatever he tries
* He wants me to be happy
* He gives so freely, sometimes what I would consider a little too freely, but thats okay
* Every time I tell him he is picky he says, "no I'm not picky at all, I just know what I like." Ha! and he really believes that!
* He makes me laugh so much

and for the grand finale...
* He is going to the best father to our sweet baby...yes, we are having a baby! and we are so grateful for our little miracle.

p.s. the list goes on.

hello!!!

I'm back! Thanks to those who gave me nudges...it gave me the motivation.
Well the last couple weeks have been jam-packed! These two were married on January 2nd, and are so happy.

The night before, we headed over to temple square to enjoy the lights! They do amazing things with this every year. If you have never been, you should make a special trip for this!

more to come.
